What is the difference between hypnosis and meditation?

Hypnosis has been called mediation with a goal. Mediation is a quieting of the mind, and is in itself very relaxing and beneficial. However, there is no goal, visualizations or positive imagery. With hypnosis, we quiet the mind and relax the body, then add mental imagery, positive suggestion, and other techniques such as NLP or Parts Therapy. There is always a goal in hypnosis.
